MOTOR VEHICLE NEGLIGENCE CASE SETTLES FOR $900,000.

Jeffrey W. Plaza negotiated a $900,000 settlement on behalf of a client who sustained significant orthopedic injuries while a passenger on a commercial bus that skidded off the highway and crashed. As a result of the injuries, the client underwent surgery, was hospitalized for one month, and was unable to work for six months. Mr. Plaza filed suit against the bus company and its employees on the basis that the driver was not properly trained and that the bus was negligently maintained in an unsafe condition. The settlement was reached prior to trial.

Stephen F. Cea has been designated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") as the supervising attorney in charge of overseeing performance of the firm's contract to represent HUD in the sale of repossessed properties throughout New Jersey.
